Custom-designed Set Design for Narcissister Performance Art

Project Description

Aflac wanted to create a fun and engaging on-site activation as part of its national partnership with the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour. To connect music lovers across the country with Aflac’s ongoing “Aflac Isn’t” marketing campaign, ARCH was tasked with creating a fun and engaging branded moment that would educate concert-goers about the many things that, contrary to common consumer belief—Aflac is NOT—thereby highlighting what it IS, and its role as a leader in supplemental insurance sales at U.S. worksites and a committed corporate ally of families facing childhood cancer.
 
That brand activation took the form of a custom 10′ rotating human hamster and prize wheel in which participants run for a chance to win seat upgrades, backstage passes and plush Aflac mascot ducks. In the “Supplemental Spinner,” participants spin and win prizes based on which “Aflac Isn’t” phrase lands. Two help desks and a prize wall completed the set of the company’s 10′ x 20′ trussed footprint. All elements were designed and constructed for ease of transport, set-up and breakdown for the 2019 Jingle Ball Tour.
