Trade Show Booth for American Society of Interior Designers
Project Description
a design collaboration between Elizabeth Von Lehe of HDR, ASID, and ARCH
Designed to echo the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) mission and reflect the core values of the organization in a strong visual statement.
Modular and reusable—representing a fresh approach to the trade show booth concept—the space created is a place of warmth, comfort and refuge, a departure from the norm. Built from clear pine, birch plywood, semi-opaque acrylic, and steel with a finish developed to reflect a warm, inviting and modern feel; the feeling of home. Achieving our goal to design a modular series of pieces that can be presented as a whole, or divided up and act as stand alone units; the booth units read as sturdy, simple, elegant, and permanent structures, but in reality consist of many carefully designed pieces that come to together seamlessly in a tongue-and-groove construction.
CNC-milled LED lit signage displaying the “Design Impacts Lives” tagline adorns the back wall.
