Elements Festival Stage Design & Production
Project Description
ARCH has a long history of collaborations with Bang ON NYC and the Elements Festival, but this newest collaboration on the “Fire Stage” between Elements Founder Tim Monkowitz, ARCH, and Cory Glen with his team from Experience Incendia, is the largest and most epic installation of this partnership to date.
The 3D waves construction used in the arm fabrication was a large undertaking, masterfully executed through many hours of CNC router run time and stacks of lumber. The 8’ wide by 10’ tall by 3’ deep fire head was sculpted out of scrap metal mesh, and hand rolled carbon steel tubing. All facades were hand painted by our in-house scenic team after being etched and milled by our CNC. The ARCH crew persevered through installations that coincided with the tail end of Hurricane Ida which brought high winds, heavy rain, and major flooding in the New York area.
The stage was enjoyed by over 8000 festival participants and staff that attended the festival in over Labor Day Weekend 2021 in rural Pennsylvania.

This sculpture was 3D modeled by ARCH Draftsman Benjamin Jones. The graphic design and artistic finishes were developed and polished by ARCH long time collaborator David Tousley. Dan Mitchel and Brent Van Dyke led the fabrication build team. On-site installation was led by Evan Collier and Benjamin Jones with support from the ARCH Hawaii crew and ARCH NYC’s very own Rico Algarin & Shane Mciver.
