Immersive Photobooth Activation at The Center

Project Description

In collaboration with Stink Studios, we transformed the computer room at The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center (The Center) into an immersive space that expresses joy with minimal decor, dynamic lighting, and a colorful aesthetic for WorldPride.

The Center is “a place where everyone is celebrated for who they are” and this photo booth activation was built to capture that—a custom freestanding curved wall backdrop with LED transition lighting for a constantly shifting mix of background colors and foreground tints, and light leak overlay programing to ensure every photo is has its own unique expressive quality.

The team designed a freestanding, iridescent vinyl-wrapped curved wall for the photo backdrop and created a similarly colorful ambiance for the room to delineate an inviting space inside the active computer center. Reflective vinyls were applied to walls and tables turning the space into a living prism; whimsical floor vinyls applied to create a feeling of magic underfoot; and translucent iridescent vinyls applied to the windows to cast rainbow light into the room.
