The Macallan Manor
Project Description
Building on the design vision of Adam Aleksander, ARCH created ‘The Macallan Manor,’ an experiential sensory journey through several immersive rooms that tell the unique story of Macallan scotch.
Each custom element of the elaborately curated room sets was fabricated by the ARCH team including a lifelike cooperage, dunnage, two forests, a speakeasy bandshell, bar, and Himalayan mountain tent. Not only was expert sourcing, endless prop fabrication and detailed scenic finishing required, but the sets had to be engineered for mobility and transit for a nine city tour. From the custom sewn 42′ swaths of tent fabrics, to the engineering of a stately yet collapsable 14′ long bar, to the creation of botanically accurate oak forest floors, this project was touched by every person on the team.
To ready the set for tour, ARCH outfitted an 18-wheeler for transporting the set materials and produced detailed assembly instruction manuals of all components. One of our own lead carpenters will manage the tour production, traveling with the brand to nine cities to execute the vision flawlessly across all locations.
