Church of the Booyah Bass! – Immersive, Interactive Attraction

Church of the BOOYAH BASS!

Project Description

Who says that a life of dancing, psychedelia and bass can’t bring you to self realizations?
Definitely not Rev. B.T. Van Dyke and the Booyah Choir!

In the Church of the Booyah Bass people will learn that the very focus of their trip is not to learn only about their true selves, but to preach it to the world.

Built on a 6 x16 trailer, the look of our Temple is an amalgamation of sacred imagery and symbolism. Mashing up architectural aspects from ancient temples of the far east, the quaintness of american churches and the eye popping graphics of 60’s psychedelia and modern motifs. Once positioned, utility flaps and decoration will hide the trailer, ultimately creating a conundrum for the senses and creating a beacon to those whom seek a unique interactive experience.

Experience:

As curious on goers walk up to the multi-colored structure, they will find a colorful pulpit waiting for them. At times there may be a designated barking-medicine-man-preacher to bring the curious in. Other times, there will be the all knowing book of GLORY, an easy to read out loud Mad lib, waiting to be read aloud by oncomers. With no specific religious denomination, we will be simply curating all universal beliefs into a trinity of fun, truth and spontaneous interpretation. Let the sermons begin!

Inside the Church of the Booyah Bass will be an experience to ignite the senses. A true mirror that actually shows the real you, an audio station with digital bass drops and atmospheric sounds, a psychedelic Wholy Shrine to the past, the mantras for a glowing future and more!

One main feature of the temple will be a confessional booth at the rear of the structure, where we will be asking people to do something they actually do not do often. To speak the Truth in front of peers. Confess their mightiness and to become believers in the all glowing spirit of life.

Once they have seen the All Glowing Light, our newly saved will be rewarded by reaching into the Wholy Shrine and taking a token to mark this revelation! Brag = Swag!

Performance:

The Church of the Booyah Bass can work as a stand alone feature, with the festival guest interacting with it as they want.

We will also have planned content and exhibit guides for guests.

A preacher outside, a priest in the confessional to administer a lie detector game and a guru to pass out swag.
Spontaneous performances through the day will help keep the theme of the temple in tact.

Atmosphere:

By day, the Church of the Booyah Bass will be an eye popping landmark for the festival goers.
By night it will be a glowing haven for the fans of LED and black light.

Logistics:

The temple will be driven onto the festival grounds and will require a fairly level spot.

The trailer will then be blocked and supported to ensure it can not move.

The best ambiance for location is not too loud, but should be in a well-traveled area to be interactive, and lots of shade please.

Finally decorative panels will disguise the trailer.

Needs:

  • Total estimated footprint 15’w x15’h x 20L’ including performance area
  • Power needs to be supplied by festival: Total watts needed TBD
  • Crew of 6-8 people
  • 1 pre-day of gates set up
  • 1 day post of close strike
  • Lodging and meals please
